		<description>I do find it interesting what companies like google have pursued in terms of new more &quot;Personalized&quot; search - although however, I do have a problem with the fact that on networks such as google plus, most of the people that are primarly using the network happen to have an interest in technology etc while facebook is more personal  - and google doesn&#039;t integrate that.

So the way that personalized search is progressing is one where the people that we don&#039;t want to really have influencing our stream happen to be the people that we don&#039;t actually &quot;know&quot; - outside of being recommend something by family or friends.</description>

When Sony was doing a study for what color they should make boomboxes in, they asked a focus group to choose between yellow and black.  The group decided that yellow would be the best choice but when they left they were given a choice between a yellow boombox and a black one for participating.  Every single participant chose black.  So if you can incorporate an action into your market research you too may find that &quot;actions speak louder than words.&quot;  That&#039;s what makes this ability to read non-verbals (if true) so exciting for survey responses. I didn&#8217;t think this was about what makes an effective blog post. Seems to me it&#8217;s about: effective ways to lure people to find your post when they are googling for something vaguely related. You conclude saying: &#8220;getting more traffic is the ultimate goal.&#8221; Maybe. Depends on the purpose of your blog, I suppose. What I really want are readers, not traffic. Not the same thing. I suppose you could argue that SEO in the end &#8212; will get you more readers even if it means you risk annoying people who came expecting one thing and got something else entirely. Me, for instance. I landed here not really wanting to read about SEO. And I was vaguely annoyed that the post didn&#8217;t live up to its title. On the other hand, I actually read the whole thing and spent time writing this comment. So maybe it works after all.</p>
