A tremendous amount of excitement and community support over the past 4 weeks in Medford has culminated into the ‘Knock’ today. CJ and Lindsey McPail of Medford were the lucky and well deserving Medford recipients of the knock from Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Read more about the family here
Knowing the selection process that Extreme Makeover Home Edition takes and taking a peak at their background and what they have done for children in the Medford community makes them a great choice.
Now the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Medford build can begin, and if Coker Butte Rd. is near your daily commute, you might want to add a few minutes to your drive time over the next week.
Money is still needed for the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Medford ‘Build Fund.’ A ‘Build Fund’ account is set up at all PremierWest Bank locations, so swing in to any branch, and give what you can, no amount is too big or too small.
Medford and Southern Oregon Businesses are still donating a $1 a ‘like’ on facebook. You can just click on the link and ‘like’ any of these great Southern Oregon Businesses, a great way to support the businesses that are supporting this community event.
PremierWest Bank, Airport Chevrolet, Southern Oregon Subaru, Dollar Buick GMC, Spring Air Heating and Cooling InfoStructure, Batzer Construction, Black Rock Coffee Bar – Biddle Rd, Grants Pass Heating and Air Conditioning Butler Automotive Group, Fusion Dance Academy, Northwest Community Credit Union, Rogue Valley Country Club, Taprock Northwest Grill Grants Pass, and Angus Driving Service
So now let the excitement of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Medford ‘build’ begin. The family will be whisked away on a vacation while Extreme Makeover and all the volunteers do their thing.
If you would like to swing by, Spectators are encouraged to bring cans of nonperishable food to the build to benefit the ACCESS Food Share Pantry Network of 25 pantries. Special food drive barrels will be set up on the site beginning Friday, September 9. Food drives in other communities in which Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has built homes have been highly successful in helping feed the hungry.
