Website Redesign: Anne Herrick

 | Website Redesign: Anne Herrick, websiteWe’ve talked about it before, but the beauty of a WordPress website design is that when you get tired of a look, it’s easy to change the way the site appears — without changing any of the content.

That’s what we did for Anne Herrick over at Optimal Ageing. Anne wanted to take the focus off the legal name of her business, Optimal Ageing, and put the focus on her. During this process, Anne was working with a graphic designer to create her new brand image. As part of the brand identity package, the designer sent us a mockup of what they hoped the site would look like. We took the mockup and converted it into a custom WordPress Theme that made use of the existing content on Anne’s website.

It’s a beautiful website and a reflection of what a custom theme can do to establish your brand image online. Surf on over and take a peak.

  1. WorldPress is such a flexible platform and what I like most about it is that it’s open source. Anyway, as always, you guys really did a wonderful job with this website!

  2. The thing I love about Anne’s redesign is how clean it is; how functional it is. WordPress enables you to have a site that is user friendly, Google friendly and damn fine to look at and without a lot of effort or expertise. Plus it allows you to change with the seasons, as you’ve pointed out in your post. It’s all I use at this point.

  3. It’s pleasing to see that a lot of the newer WordPress templates – including that above – are going back to a more minimalistic approach. For a while there it was all about jamming as many widgets on the screen that would fit and it really caused site’s to become almost unsightly to look at! Minimal is best, I believe. It allows your content to shine and that design above is a classic example of this.
