In any business, it is important to stand for something. If you don’t stand for anything, why go through the hassle of running your own business? Knowing what and where you stand is just the beginning. You have to consistently remind your current and future customers of what it is that you stand for. An advertising agency can help.
Without one, everything you do must reflect the position that you stand for. Business Cards, Websites, Print Advertising, Radio, TV, Social Media, to the simplest of things like invoice holders. If it has your name on it, it needs to reflect what you stand for.
In a lot of cases, you could be dealing with several vendors with all the POS, printing needs and all the different avenues that you advertise in or want to advertise in. All of these vendors have their own objective and their ideas about your brand. And while some may be good ideas, they may not be what you’re all about and they certainly aren’t brand consistent.
Why Choose an Ad Agency?
An Ad Agency gives you that one person who consistently makes sure that everybody stays on message. Your advertising agency should give you the freedom to do what it is that you do: run your business.
Are your Facebook and Twitter logos displayed on all the POS and website? Is the right font being used in the print ad? Color palette being used correctly? Is what you are saying in radio and/or TV creating the right image? Everything you do tells a story about you and what you do. Keeping that story consistent has proven to be the most successful path to success.
Another nice benefit to having an Ad Agency is bill consolidation. Having an Advertising Agency will cut all those different bills from a variety of different businesses into one that comes from the agency. It also allows you to keep better tabs of your actual marketing budget. If you have one entity overseeing all your marketing, and a budget is set, it is much easier for you to manage your budget. While this should not be a considering factor, it is a nice to have so many bills consolidated into one and much easier to follow your budget.
If you have a Marketing Department, an Ad Agency can make sense and give you the outside perspective that you need. Sometimes it’s hard to see the forest through the trees, an advertising agency can offer that critical outside point of view.
An agency can work hand in hand with your marketing department. In many cases, an agency will act as another marketing department employee, and free up valuable time to focus on other details making your business more profitable.
Always protect the brand
First and foremost, the reason to hire an agency is that its primary objective is to protect the brand at all times. Ad agencies often work harder for the name and brand than does the business owner, after all, someone has too.
These are just a few of the reasons that a business owner should highly consider using an Ad Agency. Many agencies don’t come with retainers, and just charge you for what they do. Because these are things you’re already paying your vendor for. An agency can get you a better price because they make the supplier’s job easier.
It’s a wash from a cost standpoint. You aren’t paying any more than you are now to have a professional marketing team oversee each and every job. Because with your company’s name and brand’s best interest should come first.
