Your logo is probably the first thing that comes to mind when people think about your brand, so it makes sense to give it a memorable design. This should include color, but that doesn’t always come to mind when business owners are deciding on a great logo. Logo color can tell people a lot about a business, so it should never be taken lightly. Here are a few tips to consider when it comes time to choose a color or colors for your logo.

About 95 percent of the world’s top brands use only one or two colors in their logos. While it may be fun to experiment with a complicated color scheme, a striking red logo will be much easier to recognize than an intricate watercolor painting. Coca-Cola and Nike both only use one color, and their logos are some of the most instantly recognizable in the world.
Consider Versatility
Your logo will go on all kinds of different marketing materials, many of which will be completely different colors. This means that any colors you choose for your logo should look good on diverse backgrounds. A red or white logo might look great on a black billboard, but a dark blue logo won’t look as distinct. Choosing the right logo colors will give your logo a lot of versatility, so take full advantage of them.
Remember that Logo Color is Emotive
Finally, you need to keep in mind that colors can convey different emotions. A bright shade of yellow can look happy and fun, while shades of blue have a more soothing effect that can make your company seem more trustworthy.
